The Barn theatre, Augusta, Michigan, has been in operation as a summer stock threatre since 1949. The building was erected in 1943 and served as an active dairy barn until Jack and Betty Ragotzy from Richland, Michigan, began renting it as The Village Players, a group they formed in 1946.
